Vision

To inspire holistic development and the pursuit of excellence during undergraduate studies, Feng Chia University established the "Honors Student System" starting in the 2025 academic year. This initiative aims to recognize graduating seniors who have demonstrated outstanding interdisciplinary performance in areas such as competition awards/academic achievement, cross-disciplinary learning, international participation, professional internships, and public service and leadership. By establishing this symbolic honorary status, the university seeks to cultivate an influential community of student role models and strengthen a campus culture of honor.

Eligibility Criteria

  1. Target Group: Limited to graduating seniors of the Class of 2026. However, students approved for double majors, minors, or dual-degree programs who have been granted an extension of their study period to complete graduation requirements are exempt from this restriction.
  2. Basic Requirements: Must have completed at least five semesters (two and a half years) of study at Feng Chia University.
Academic standing must be within the top 50% of the class (based on the first 7 semesters for four-year programs, or the first 9 semesters for five-year programs).
Must have a clean disciplinary record (no record of reprimands or warnings).

International Participation: Demonstrating international mobility and cross-cultural communication skills, such as overseas study, participation in international competitions or global organizational activities, global citizenship literacy, and substantive overseas exchange experience.
Professional Internships: Demonstrating the impact of professional application and industry-academia alignment, such as participating in corporate internships with clear, outstanding achievements and practical performance.
Public Service & Leadership: Demonstrating an altruistic spirit and organizational leadership, such as initiating public issue advocacy, serving as a certified outstanding Teaching Assistant (TA), or serving as an officer in the Student Association, student clubs, or volunteer services, showing the energy to lead positive change in the community.
