Descriptions:
1. Handle in accordance with the Ministry of Education's letter No. 1122200664 dated March 16, 2023.
2. Contingency measures for faculty, staff and students who test positive for COVID-19 on a rapid test
(1) Those who have mild or no symptoms should carry out 0-day and the following 5-day self-health management. Please do not enter the University and do not go to work or attend classes. They can be released earlier during the self-health management period if the rapid test result is negative.
(2) For those who test positive for COVID-19 on a rapid test and live on campus, it is recommended that they return home for 0-day and the following 5-day self-health management. For overseas or remote island students who wish to stay on campus, the University will assess the capacity of the on-campus dormitory and assist the students to stay in the "care dormitory" for self-health management.
3. Leave of absence for faculty, staff and students who test positive for COVID-19 on a rapid test during the epidemic prevention period.
(1) Students
1) Those who test positive for COVID-19 on a rapid test and have mild or no symptoms: Please report to the class life tutor with the positive rapid test result. They can apply for 5 days of "official leave – epidemic prevention leave" within 0 and the following 5 days. The student's academic evaluation will not be affected.
2) Those who test positive for COVID-19 on a rapid test and have moderate to severe symptoms: May apply for "official leave - epidemic prevention leave" and the number of days will be granted according to the date of the isolation treatment notice. Students will not be listed in the absence record and their academic evaluation will not be deducted for this reason.
3) In accordance with the University’s original operation, after the student requests leave from the class life tutor with a positive rapid test result, the Health Center will report the list to the Office of Academic Affairs and the student will be marked on the iLearn system for 7-day online learning.
(2) Faculty and Staff
1) Those who test positive for COVID-19 on a rapid test will follow the procedures of the Office of Human Resources "Leave of Absence Policy during the Covid-19 Epidemic" to apply for leave of absence (announced separately). Sick leave within 0 and the following 5 days will not be considered in the calculation of sick leave days and performance evaluation for the academic year. The University will assist in arranging for make-up classes and paying the hourly fee for the instructor’s unattended classes.
2) Those who test positive for COVID-19 on a rapid test should notify nurse Chang , Kuang-hua of the Environmental Protection, Safety Hygiene Management Center (ext. 2357) for health care and University safety notification.
